6 Steps to Delicious Apple Crisp

Sometimes there is nothing as awesome as hanging out inside on a Sunday, half watching football, spending time with family and enjoying a scoop of apple crisp.  If you have never tried apple crisp before, you are in for a treat.  My sister told me mine was so good she could eat it all day long.

I have made this recipe so many times that I have the recipe memorized.  I like to make enough to fill a  9×13 pan because people love it and it goes FAST!

This dessert is very simple to make.  Here is what you need:

For the apple base:

10 medium sized granny smith apples

1/2 cup water

2 tablespoons flour

2 tablespoons cinnamon

1.5 cups of white sugar

For the Crisp:

1.5 cups of flour

1.5 cups of oatmeal

1/2 cup of butter, softened or melted

1.5 cups of brown sugar

1 tablespoon of baking powder

1 tablespoon of baking soda

Step One.  Preheat oven to 350. 

Step two: Peel and cut up apples. Place in baking dish.

Step Three: Mix together the sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, and cinnamon.  

Step Four: Pour sugar mix over apples and mix together.

Step Five:  Mix together Oats, Flour, Brown Sugar, Baking Soda, Baking Powder, and Butter.  Mix until crumbly and pour over apples.

Step Six: Enjoy with Vanilla Ice Cream.
